Terravis Energy Solutions was founded in 2004 by Luke Geleynse as a division of Dundas Agri Systems. Terravis provided renewable energy solutions to the home and farm and very quickly grew into a second company, Terravis Wind Energy, involved mainly in large wind farm development. Having strong agricultural roots, Terravis was effective in working with landowners to secure land leases for the installation of wind turbines on their land. In 2007 Terravis partnered with Prowind Canada and aided Prowind to bring 750MW of projects into development. 140MW of these projects were submitted as part of Ontario's new FIT program.
In July of 2009, Terravis left the partnership with Prowind, and took over the development of two projects in Eastern Canada.
In 2009 The Ontario government passed the Green Energy Act in Ontario, and this paved the way for affordable solar installations on the home and farm. Terravis is active in installing both MicroFIT projects (under 10KW) and FIT projects. We have sold and installed over 930kW of solar in Ontario to date.
